Presented in association with the Royal Academy of Dance, SunDance is the only summer intensive in the world to combine RAD Ballet and Limón Modern.

With world-class instruction from leading dance artists from across the globe, this full-day, three week intensive provides young dancers ages 10-19 with the means to realize their artistic potential in a professional, interdisciplinary atmosphere.

Audition Dates and Times:
Ages 10-13 — Sunday February 22nd 10:00am-12:00pm
Ages 14-19 — Sunday March 1st 10:00am-1:30pm

About the Intensive​
SunDance offers an annual summer intensive dance experience geared towards the cultivation of technique, artistry, creativity, and performance skills. All participants train in RAD Ballet, Limón Modern, and Modern Repertoire. Intermediate and Elementary Programs additionally include Character, Jazz, and Conditioning, while Advanced participants engage in Ballet Repertoire, Improvisation, and Composition. Weekly "Surprise Wednesdays" include special guest workshops in a variety of dance styles. Culminating the three weeks, all dancers participate in a showcase for friends and family!

Program A - Advanced
Ages 14-19*
Prerequisites: Minimum 3 years modern and/or RAD Gr. 8 / Intermediate or equivalent.*

Program B - Intermediate
Ages 10-13*
Prerequisites: Minimum 2 years modern and/or RAD Gr. 5 / Intermediate Foundation or equivalent.*​

*Program placement is determined by audition, taking into consideration the dancer's skill level, experience, and ability alongside age. A dancer's Program level may change within the first two days of the intensive, at the discretion of the instructors. 10-year-olds can also choose to register for SunDance Arts, no audition required.
